Four inmates who broke out of detention cells at the Pathum Thani Provincial Court on Monday have been rounded up. The inmates were waiting to hear the court’s verdict in a drug case, police said yesterday. Muang Pathum Thani district police were alerted to the escape around 4pm on Monday. They then began a search for the missing inmates.
Two escapees were found hiding in woodland near a residential estate not far from the court in Muang district and one was detained behind the Muang Pathum market. The other inmate allegedly broke into a house, changed his clothes and hid under a bed. He was caught after witnesses told police they saw him enter the house.
Their names and how they had managed to break out of the cells were not revealed.
