After 1934, the method of execution changed to gun. A team of guards would be used with each guard with his own job.
The prisoner was tied to a cross with his back to the gun. Between his palms were tied lotus flowers.
A screen was placed a few feet behind the prisoner. A target was drawn on this screen so that the gunman had something to aim at. When ready, the red flag was raised. The last execution by gun took place in 1977. A total of 213 prisoners had been executed by this method.
